How to add Indicator to MT4

This section describes how to add Indicator to MT4.

1. Prepare the Indicator (.ex4) you want to apply to MT4.
2. Start MT4 and select “Tools”-> “MetaEditor” to start MetaEditor
3. Right-click “Indicators” displayed in the “Navigator” window on the left side of the launched MetaEditor and select “Open Folder” (see the figure below).
4. The folder where the MT4 Indicator is stored will be opened, so copy the Indicator prepared in 1.) to that folder.
5. Close MetaEditor and MT4 once to load the Indicator stored in the folder.
6. Start MT4 again.
7. Click “View”-> “Navigator” in MT4 to display the navigator window
8. Display the Chart you want to add the Indicator.(If you are displaying multiple Charts, click once on the Chart you want to add the Indicator and activate that Chart.)
9. Find the Indicator with the same name as the Indicator file copied to the MT4 folder in step 4 in the “Indicator” tree in the Navigator Window, and double-click it.
10. Since the Indicator setting screen is displayed, check “Allow DLL Imports” on the “Common” tab.
11. On the “Paramteters” tab, change any parameters you want to customize.
12. After completing the settings, click the “OK” button to add the Indicator.
