How to execute Script in MT4

This section describes how to execute Script in MT4.

1. Prepare the Script (.ex4) you want to execute in MT4.
2. Start MT4 and click “File”-> “Open Data Folder”.
3. The MT4 folder will be opened, so move the folder to “MQL4”-> “Scripts”.
4. Copy the Script prepared in 1.) to the Scripts folder.
5. Click “View”-> “Navigator” in MT4 to display the navigator window
6. To load the script stored in the folder, right-click “Script” in the “Navigator” window of MT4 and click “Update”.
7. Display the Chart you want to execute the Script.(If you are displaying multiple Charts, click once on the Chart you want to execute the Script and enable that Chart.)
8. Find the Script with the same name as the Script file copied to the MT4 folder in 4.) in the “Scripts” tree in the navigator window and double-click it.
9. The Script setting screen is displayed.
10. On the Parameters tab, change any parameters you want to customize.
11. After completing the settings, click the “OK” button to execute the Script.
